What is Startup Tank?
Startup Tank is an online platform that connects entrepreneurs, investors/advisors and service providers. We help startups get the capital they need to grow their businesses; we help investors find compelling investment opportunities; and we help service providers find new and exciting business opportunities for their businesses.
How do I use Startup Tank?
Set up a profile as a Startup, Investor or Service Provider. Then search through our database to connect with any of our members to meet any of your business or financial needs.
Can I contact other members directly?
Yes you can, but the number of contacts you have is dependent on your membership package. Check out our different packages and decide which one is right for you!
Can I speak with members outside of Startup Tank?
We encourage your initial conversations to stay on our internal messaging system, but as your relationship progresses, we think it's great to meet with your partners in a more personal setting!
Why should I use Startup Tank?
Startup Tank empowers you to connect with startups, investors and/or service providers who are excited to work with you! Our exclusive community features some of the top investors, startups and service providers worldwide and offers the possibility for numerous investment and partnership opportunities across the globe.
How many registered investors do you have?
The number of investors on our site grows every day, but search through our site to reach out to one of the many who is excited to work with you!
How does an investor reach me?
An investor can contact you directly through our internal messaging system. In addition, depending on the package you have, you may directly contact an investor and he/she will respond to you if he/she is interested in pursuing an opportunity.
What is a Service Provider?
A service provider is a company or individual(s) who assists businesses with a wide range of business related services. Some classic examples include attorneys, graphic designers, web developers, accountants, etc.
How do I avoid scams while seeking funding?
We employ various screening methodologies to filter out illegitimate investors, and entrepreneurs, but we encourage the following best practices to ensure you are not taken advantage of within our community:
Ensure you have legal counsel advise you on any significant investments
Meet face to face with your investor once in later stage(s)
Never give an investor money upfront
Use your best judgment whenever negotiating an investment opportunity

What industries do Startup Tank entrepreneurs need be focused in?
We assist startups in just about every industry, including restaurants/food services, technology, real estate, fashion, healthcare, consumer goods, etc. We look to help all startups with all of their capital and business needs.
What if I do not see my industry category?
Please e-mail us at email@example.com if you do not see your particular industry, and we will do our best to accommodate you. We will either add an additional industry for you or recommend one of our current industries for you to add your industry to our database.
How much does it cost to use Startup Tank?
We have multiple subscription packages to satisfy a wide range of budgets. Our free packages offer a very basic level of service, while our more premium packages allow for better placement on our site, unlimited communication within our site, and additional features such as job postings, work requests, etc.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.
There is a credit card already entered. What now?
Choose your subscription package and we will automatically bill you each month unless you cancel your membership.
How do I find the security code on my credit card?
Flip your card over and look at the signature box. You should see either the entire 16-digit credit card number or just the last four digits followed by a special 3-digit code. This 3-digit code is your Card Security Code. For American Express users, it is the four digit code on the front of the card.
Where can I go for questions about my bills and orders?
For any questions about your bill, the order process, or error messages, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What is the difference between the accounts?
With a more premium membership, you can:
Contact more startups, investors or service providers each day
Get premium placement on our site
Get access to additional services such as job postings and work requests
How do I know what kind of account I need?
We offer various packages for startups, investors and service providers. Depending on your budget and your individual needs, you can decide between our various packages to see which one is the best for you.
What if I haven't received a confirmation mail?
Our confirmation e-mails can take up to 24 hours to go through, but if 24 hours has passed and you still haven't received a confirmation e-mail, please e-mail us at email@example.com and we will look into the matter.
I lost my password. What now?
Submit the e-mail address registered at Startup Tank via "Forgot" link on the login screen. You will receive an email with the link for resetting your password.
My account information is incorrect. Can I change it?
Yes, you can edit your account info at any time. Just click on 'Edit Profile' and any changes you make will be effective immediately.
What if I do not see my industry category?
You can choose "Other" under type of industry, or please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will either add an additional industry for you or recommend one of our current industries for you based on where similar companies fall.
How do I cancel my account?
Just click on cancel membership under your account info. We will deactivate your account and automatically stop billing you for any future monthly payments.
My account has been cancelled / deleted. Can I get it back?
Yes, you can get your account back at any point! Just e-mail us at email@example.com and we can reactivate your old account, or feel free to create a new profile and account on our site.
